About the Course 

This nationally accredited training reflects the role of individuals such as Mining Supervisors who require the minmum AQF 4 recognised competencies for Standard 22.

Their roles who involve  a broad range of day-to-day, operational activities in their area of responsibility.

They are responsible for ensuring a safe work environment through applying the safety and health management system in and around work areas of surface excavation, including monitoring the quantity and quality of output, supervising others and applying solutions to non-routine problems.

 

Statement of Attainment –  For each unit below upon completion

  • RIIERR401 Apply & monitor surface operations emergency preparedness & response systems
  • RIIMEX405 Apply and monitor systems and methods of surface coal mining
  • RIIMPO403 Monitor interaction of heavy and light vehicles and mining equipment
  • RIIWHS402 Examine and maintain mine safety
  • RIIMEX407 Apply and monitor the ground control management plan
  • RIIMEX408 Supervise overburden dump operations
